Costa Adeje

Holiday Rentals in Costa Adeje, Tenerife

Costa Adeje is southern Tenerife’s most prestigious holiday destination — a stretch of coastline that combines golden sandy beaches with upscale dining, designer shopping, and some of the best resort infrastructure in the Canary Islands. With an average of 320 sunny days per year and sea temperatures rarely below 20°C, it draws visitors from across Europe throughout all four seasons.

Beaches

Costa Adeje’s coastline is anchored by two exceptional beaches. Playa del Duque is widely regarded as the finest beach on the island — a wide crescent of golden sand backed by the luxury hotel zone, with calm, clear water and excellent beach service. Further south, Playa de Fañabé and Playa de Torviscas form a long, sheltered arc popular with families and water sports enthusiasts.

All beaches along Costa Adeje hold Blue Flag status and offer sun lounger rental, beach bars, and water sports concessions including jet ski, paddleboard and parasailing hire.

Dining and Shopping

The dining scene in Costa Adeje has evolved considerably beyond the typical resort fare. The area around Calle La Enramada and the La Caleta neighbourhood hosts some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the Canary Islands, with several holding Michelin recognition. Seafood, Canarian cuisine, and international fine dining all feature prominently.

Shopping ranges from the open-air Safari shopping centre to boutique-lined streets in the older part of town. The weekly street market offers local crafts and produce.

Activities

Costa Adeje is the activity hub of southern Tenerife. Siam Park, consistently voted Europe’s best water park, is located here — a full day’s entertainment for all ages. Whale and dolphin watching boat trips depart from the adjacent harbour of Puerto Colón, along with deep-sea fishing, diving, and catamaran excursions to Los Gigantes. Golf enthusiasts have several championship courses within 20 minutes’ drive.

Getting Around

Costa Adeje is 20 minutes from Tenerife South Airport (TFS) via the TF-1 motorway. The area is well-served by local buses (guaguas) connecting to Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas and the wider south. A car is useful for exploring inland villages and the north of the island.
